Commonwealth War Graves next of kin information states “son of Thomas and Victoria Bromley of Hoole, Chester.”

The Aircrew Losses Index states that Sgt Bromley was aboard a 15 Squadron Stirling BK691 (code LS-F) which was shot down by a German nightfighter on a mission to attack Mannheim. The aircraft crashed at Hetzerath. Six of the crew, including Sgt Bromley, were killed, one was made a prisoner of war.

The 1921 Census gives Thomas and his mother and father Water Tower View. The 1930 Electoral roll gives four members of the family - Henry Thomas, Harriett Victoria Constance, Thomas himself and Clara Bromley at Hoole Lane – 25 Water Tower View .
