SERGT H JACKSON RAF KILLED IN ACTION
“Sergt Harry Jackson, RAF, who was reported missing some weeks ago, is now officially reported to have been killed in action. Aged 22, he was a son of Mrs and the late Mr Joseph Jackson, 10 Charles Street, Hoole. As a boy he served for 7 ½ years in Chester Cathedral Choir, and afterwards worked in the offices of the Great Western Railway, as a clerk at James Street, Liverpool”
Chester Chronicle 17 October 1942 informs us that his two brothers were also serving: Corpl S F Jackson RAF and Pte K Jackson Royal Artillery.
