Private Samuel Vincent Nuttall, known to his father as Vin was born 9th May 1896. He lived in Hoole and joined up in 1914. He died at the Battle of Passchendaele on 16th Aug 1917 aged 21.<ref>Courtesy of K Silvester, Private Nuttall's grandnephew</ref>
